Yorkton Co-operative Association Limited will present 4 scholarships in the amount of $500.00 each to graduating students in the memory of Jake Berg, who served the Yorkton Co-operative Association Limited as a Director and Board President for many years.

Mary Joyce Booth Memorial Scholarship French Language
$1500.00 for a studnet entering their first year of a post-secondary program in the French language. Up to two awards may be granted per year.
Application deadline: May 1, 2013.
Criteria:
The following criteria will be used in the selection:
Enrolled in a grade 12 French program and have the intention of entering a post-secondary program in the French Language
The candidate should demonstrate excellence in their leadership ability
the candidate should display willingness to help others further their learning in FSL

CEP Local 892 Scholarship
Communications, Energy & Paperworkers Union of Canada - Local 892
1) This scholarship shall be awarded to a gratuation studnet of the current year, whose mother or father is a member or retiree of CEP Local 892.
2) The recipient must be entering post secondary education in a technical institute or university in any field of their choice.
3) Scholarship achievement will be considered based on a two to three page essay (double spaced). The scholarhsip will be awarded upon receipt of a copy of the recipents's tuition fee from their post secondary institute.
4) There are two $1000.00 scholarships available: One for entrants into a technical institute and one for entrants into a university
5) Forward completed applications and your essay by May 15, 2013.

Catholic Women's League of Canada
This award is intended to enable young women to engage in social justice work. Young women between the ages of 18-35 years will be eligible to receive up to one thousand dollars in one year upon application and decision of the committee.
Award Criteria:
1) Open to young women between the ages of 18-35 years.
2) Demonstrated involvement in social justice activities.
3) Recommendation of a pastor or campus minister or equivalent.
4) The award must be used to finance participation in a reputable social justice activity, either at home or abroad, ex: Development and Peace, Cuernavaca experience, work in inner city or northern experiences.
5) Priority willb e given to CWL members or relatives of CWL members.
6) The committee may decide to give the yearly amount to one candidate or divide it among qualified applicants.
7) Academic standing and background will be a consideration but not the determining factor.
8) Successful candidates will be asked to share their experience with League members.
9) Decision of the committee is final.
